Curatorial > pushit!

“Can resistance be choreographed?” This is the question that drives “pushit!,” a site-responsive, mobile performance by the New York–based artist NIC Kay. NIC’s artistic practice is inspired by a wide range of movement disciplines—from butoh to praise dance to voguing. Part of a larger body of work titled Get Well Soon!, this durational piece invites the audience to collectively imagine a future of reparation and black diasporic healing.
