Meet the Crew! > Jamie Guanco

Jaime Guanco is an occupational therapist during the day and a jack of all trades at night. She is a homebrewer, a baker and a ceramicist. She loves to incorporate Filipino culture into her art pieces. She has wanted to learn about baybayin, tattoo culture, and meaning in order to add to her work. She also wants to delve into her own history to keep Filipino traditions alive in Indiana.

Her biggest accomplishment was at the tail end of grad school, when she had a massive capstone project, utilizing her knowledge of occupational therapy to create a women's empowerment group for refugees in Indianapolis Through which she taught them health, kitchen safety, and women's rights in America.
