Studio > Pintado (Forever Guaranteed)

Pintado (Forever Guaranteed) is an ongoing project, created in collaboration with tattoo artists, Devan Smith, Jun Ko, Kenel Figueroa, Eliel Frosth, and Marco Lopez. Colorful lines and shapes - designed using my phone - fade, bend, split, and intersect with the artists' illustrative blackwork. While the style and application of the work is a departure from Filipino tradition, the philosophy is much the same. Applied to my body to mark my own experiences, the series is a deeply personal, lifelong endeavor that references family, success, loss, love, and a commitment to the communities to which I belong.
