The central MdW Summit exhibition, Facing Present Dangers / Building Future Worlds, gathered artist-run spaces, collectives, publishers, organizers, and cultural platforms from across the Midwest.

Presented on the 4th floor of the Boyer Campbell Building, Building Future Worlds was an open collective art-build where participants brought and made protest signs, banners, puppets, temporary structures, and agitprop throughout the week - a durational studio and teach-in space that accumulated in real time and served as both workshop and living installation.
