2019: A Community Meal
LaShawnda Crowe Storm is a local artist and community organizer who produced a 421 ft. quilted runner that ran the length of the table and served as a talking point to address the history of racial oppression in Indianapolis that continues to contribute to economic instability and food insecurity in this city.
Titled redLINES, the quilt was then brought back to Newfields to be displayed at the Harvest Festival during a panel discussion about At the Crossroads and the injustices the project addresses.
redLINES will be on display again in October 2020 at Gallery 924 for an exhibition of DeHaan Artist of Distinction award recipients.
